Hey Xtian best wishes and as the others have said theres a high survival rate. My old man had it about 15yrs ago,  detected after he went for a check up because he passed blood in his urine. He's still going stromg and will probably die of old age. he not long  ago clicked over 76yrs.

Thanks for the kick up the bum I gotta see the doc on another matter shortly so I'll get one of them tests done too.

sorry to hear it mate. It's a real bastard :(

Caught it early though so there's plenty of hope. Like the others already said "know lots of guys in remission" who are gunna die of old age.

All the best.

I am sorry to that you have prostate cancer Xtian but there have been few medical breakthrough's that are having good results i personly know two blokes that are in remission from it and one of them was diagnosed 20 years ago.i have just had the bloodtest for that and everything else and i was told that i have got diabetes so i have been dealing with that but life must go on there are still more rides to do and people to meet

   Regards Dale

Well I got the news that I have prostate cancer, CT on Sat to see if it is anywhere else, maybe a bone scan.

The big point here blokes is that I had NO symptoms at all, my GP picked it up in my blood test.
Raised PSA level.
Surgeon did the index test but no enlargement??? but a biopsy picked it up.

So boys I am suggesting that when you next see your GP see if you can get a blood test to check your PSA and get it early
