How did the test go and what test did you have.

Reminding all that I had no symptoms, no enlarged prostate it was the PSA in the blood test that caught my GP's eye.

Scans all came back clear so it is contained but the cancer is aggressive and the surgeon wants the deed done within 6 weeks so the papers are all signed and I await the call.

It's a good thing you found it early, mate (bad that you have it at all, though)
Like the others have said, there's lots of effective tratments to deal with it these days, so hopefully, it shouldn't put you through too much drama. I had mine tested not long ago and am still in the clear on that front luckily.
Hope it all goes well for you, mate.

Hang in there Xtian. Both of my older brothers have had Prostate cancer and been successfully treated. They both came through treatment well. Don't listen to the old wives tales and horror stories. I get a PSA test every six months or less.

Partsnmore.com is a good place to get manual (on, off, reserve) taps and give the vacuum bulshit the flick. Also have a look at MikesXS.com, they specialise in 650's. lots of carb parts in common.

Very sorry to hear that Christian, let's just hope it's a slow growing one.  Found this interesting quote on wikipedia "More than 80% of men will develop prostate cancer by the age of 80."

and thanks for the PSA test tip I'll do that next time I'm at the docs.
Good luck with the scan.

Hi Christian Thanks for raising this issue, its areal shit getting crap news.  I also got the news about six weeks ago. No symptoms but a raised PSA count & my doctor feeling a slight bump on my prostate. Saw specialist, had the biopsy & got the news.
Well we all have the joke of fingers up the bum. But if your over 50, insist your GP checks you out. There is a blood test (PSA count) & the dreaded DTE, finger up the bum.
I'm lucky, having found out very early, & being able to make choices of treatment. In a couple of hours I will be on the table, for the first procedure, should be home tomorrow.

Anyway wheres the best place to order mixture screws (presume need 4 x carbie kit) & petlock kits (mine are always on, the vacuum bit doesn't turn them off). For my XS1100E

Cheers Dennis

that's some not good news mate,, what's involved from here for you in the next steps?

we're going thru the same type of thing here {a very nasty cancer with mrs steptoe, out of 5, it's a 4 :'(}, which is why I've been a bit on the quiet side

it's an evil thing I always thought, but since doing some reading and listening and working a lot of stuff out ourselves, a lot of it is todays lifestyle and diet,

hope things go well for you, and you get the doctors that get it right, can't do much from here, but know we're thinking of you  ;)

Sorry to hear this news Christian.

As the others have said, catching it early is the key.

My wife is in healthcare and she reckons success in treating it early is incredibly high. Great call to action for the rest of us too.
