Dont let them stick a camera in your face. The one up your *** will be more than enough.  ;)

Good luck mate, we'll all chip in for a soft cushion for the saddle.

G'day Xtian, haven't been on the forum for quite some time so I'm only just catching up. Sorry to hear of your diagnosis - hope all goes well with your treatment.

I was also diagnosed a few years ago, at age 45 and had a radical prostatectomy in August 2005. No symptoms, just an alert doctor who suggested PSA tests from around 42 onwards. My reading wasn't high but it was erratic and eventually a DRE found a lump and a biopsy confirmed the cancer's presence.

All was good for a few years and then my PSA started to rise in 2008 so in mid-2009 I underwent 33 external beam radiotherapy treatments over 7 weeks  and all PSA results since have been "negligible" so here's hoping! The younger you are the more aggressive the cancer is - having blood relatives who have had it means your chances of getting it are magnified, but, as noted by others, early treatment is effective. I'm happy to talk with anyone to share the jpourney. Regards, CD (Townsville).

No enlargement, and got the PSA bloods getting done next week. Also getting the cholesterol, lipids etc done too.

Also some tests relating to my pancreas which caused me some problems about 9 yrs ago.

Like I say, wouldn't have gotten my finger out if you n Dennis hadn't shared your experiences, so thanks.  ;)
