I have the head off because one of the valves is stuck so Can't do a compression test now.
I will do some measuring of the rings and hone sounds good.
I was also looking out for someone reliable if I need someone to do some work for me in the future, so any recommendation would be good to have.
Thanks

Steve ,a simple compression test of all cylinders will tell you where your at regarding performance and general condition..........make sure you correctly adjust the shim/valve clearance before you do this.
A way to measure wear on both the barrels and rings at the same time........is to measure the gap where the ring meets.... whilst the piston and rings are still in the bore.
A visual inspection internally of the barrels will show any scratches /damage.............
Usually a hone of the cylinders and new rings with a clean up of the pistons......decoke.......will suffice.
What is the reason you wish to check the barrels.

Anyone out there who can point me towards somewhere that can inspect the barrels and advise what should be done with them if anything needs to be done.

I havent an internal micrometer to measure them.

Thanks for any help that can be given
