That looks the goods Jeff. They add another $12 if you buy online. If others are keen it would be great if you could buy several sets for members and post them out or take them along to a meet? I reckon I will stop in and buy a set when I am next around that way.
I ended up paying just over $22 for 5 of the OEM's

Ah nice Jeff.
The head of Customer service at Yamaha called me up and said that he would talk to the local dealer about doing me a better price. So I just got of the phone to the local dealer the deal they came up with was $2.70 for the cap and $1.75 for the clip. I always told them I wanted 5 so that is how many they have orderd for me.
If you look up the page the clips do look very good quality with powder coated tags and all so if a bunch of you guys do want to order caps and clips at this price I could call the head of customer relations again and ask for the same deal at one other dealer say near Christian and you could do a multiple order for anyone else interested maybe?
Of on night shift later this afternoon so running out of time until Friday or even next week?

Rare spares is 10 mins from where i live.
I ll take a spare rubber carby mount down there today and check the quality and fit to the vacuum spigot.
I ll also check them out for the tubing clips regarding quality and price.

Got a price from the Yamaha dealer in Young, my local dealer's parts person is never in  :-X
First price was $5.60 each for the blind cap
Then they called back with a slightly cheaper price of $4.60 for the cap and 3.58 for the clip. They had removed the shipping cost as it could be added to other orders.
So Rare spares will get the 4 caps to your door for $15 or you should be able to get the OEM item from your local dealer for $18.40 if you press for best price. Then if you would like to add the OEM clip add another $14.32.
To clarify if you go for the Rare spares one I believe it should be the 3/16 and although you would believe they are of the quality needed I can't be sure.
CLICK
So I might try and get the local yamaha dealer to match the $18.40 price then look for a non OEM scissor clip to fit. I need a couple more for the fuel line anyway.

I did contact Yamaha thinking the same thing as they are common even on the new bikes. That is where I got the part number from but after finding them so cheap online I hadn't pushed the local dealer for a price. Will try that today.
But I am starting to think the best deal at the moment was where we started with the set of 4 for $4 (now $5 I see) and $10 postage from Rare spares.

I have spent the last hour or so internet shopping for this Item and the shipping costs are rediculous. The best I had was $20
I see why you think we need a group buy  :o

I got an explination from Mike, if you can call it that?

"We cannot adjust the price and its set by the shipper for guaranteed delivery, we have this come up from time to time, and understand the situation, but unfortunately cannot change.

MikesXS"

I thought he was the shipper or is he simply reselling from the shipper? In any regard that was not very helpful?

Yes but I was unsure of the postage cost and how much we could save buy ordering together.
During checkout it seems Mike wants to charge me $33 postage for 5 blind plugs.
Might send them a message and ask if they can adjust the postage.

What other parts where you considering Christian?
