Hey Mac,

McLindin, not heard too often so I wonder, are you by any chance "Boss Hog"?
Knew him as a Warrant Officer in the army in Puckapunyal many years ago.

McLindin.is the surname....but Mac is good.

The Black XS11G needs a head job and leaks fuel through the ptecock like a bugger. Wife is always complaining.... 'Sell em both and but a newr one' she says...she don't like me fiddling and has no love for the elephants.... but I'm the one with taste!

It was originally just sprayed with black hi temp paint. As my xs has been stored in the garage for more years than i m ashamed to admit to i ve started to begin the process of doing all those things that have been neglected , one of which was ceramic coating of exhaust and installing a new baffle .This was done by Megacycle in Keysborough Vic.

The 4 into 1 system was a prototype made by (Pomy) Peter Allen for these bikes .Pete used to be a motorcycle drag racing champion and i believe still today, is involved in competition with his son Maurice.

Hi and welcome MCLINJ.Well here s my take on the nickname......"Motorcycling Junkie".......or maybe" J" is the initial of his or her first name..........or...........it s a Rappers nick.......ie" MC LIN J is in DA HOUSE".Either way all that matters is that you found....US.And so good to see yet another xs1100.Looking forward to "chewing the fat with ya"............so to speak.

if it's not a rude question, how do we read your user name, sorry can't work it out :-[

I'm guessing his surname starts MCLIN - like McLintoch or something. I reckon we just call him Mac.

welcome mate.....nice looking machine - the ceramic coating on mine is getting to 10 years old
and while stone chips and road rash are a problem its still holding up pretty well.

Welcome aboard mate. Very nice job on the pipe.

As you say the pipes are very hard to find. Even a good aftermarket pipe is hard to find in Aus.
