Yes. Fortunately I had a spare fixed one. Now it's back to how it should have been 👍

Did you change back the timing plate to the 4RO fixed one?
Or do you still have the one with the centrifugal mechanical advance with slots?

so i got hold of another TCI and its back running smoothly..
Just lucked out, found a guy on gumtree. Even got the 4R0 10 model that was meant to be on my bike. previous owner had converted it to the older ignition setup..
As a bonus i also scored 2 side covers in perfect condition ;D

I,ve had one burn out one of the tracks on the printed circuit board, soldered in a new wire to simulate the track and all good.
Open it up and have a look for something obvious like I had. Also check for dry? (Is that the terminology?) Or dodgy solder joints. From memory 30+ years ago mine ran but very poorly maybe on 2 like yours

Don’t take this as gospel but my experience with TCI box failure has been immediate and nothing, zilch, zero. Two of them, there is supposed to be a bloke in Townsville that can fix them but very expensive, if someone can lend you a box to see if that fixes it Then you know where your going.

Hi all
After much head scratching..i have finally worked out my tci is cactus..tested pulse coils, installed new coils, leeds, plugs etc..bike runs on 2 cyclinders..only spark on 2..I have searched but no luck for a replacement..Are these fixable?
Or does anyone have a spare they would be willing to sell me?
It was working initially,then intermittently.
Its 2h7-10 model..
