Lambs, these blokes know what they are doing they have made studs for race cars so I'd go with their expertise even made stuff for Bathurst cars.As OEM stuff is no longer available these work well.
The threads are rolled not cut and yep coating them is a good idea but even if you didn't they would outlast us.
S99 is a variation on 4340 (the Brits would argue the other way around, but anyway) and certainly has the strength potential but would need to know the final heat-treatment spec as machining would be prior HT. Plating would be mandatory, otherwise you'll end up with a rusted mess after awhile - all the studs are exposed on the xs11 engine.I have one of those stud removal tools.....the longest ones in particular still wouldn't budge even with lots of heat (MAP gas torch). Fortunately I was able to remove and replace the badly rusted studs and treated the rest.
