Maybe Xtian can post a pic of his bike for you to see.
You can find the decal sets on ebay.
The 81 H had 1.1 on side covers.
There s a guy here in melbourne who does repro cast ones.
Ir...i recall something about people using an old ford something or the other decal. Again...i ll leave the fine detail to others.

81 H models imported here in au (Oceanic models)were a cherry red and silver as well as a metallic grey.
There is a chart somewhere around ..someone will find and post a link maybe.
When Photophucket decided to stop 3rd party posting of pics...unless you paid them a shiteload for what was once free ..they disabled countless link to countless forums .

I thought as much! I asked the question when I bought it but got told a porky. There is some red showing through on the side panels. What colour do you think it should be and what decals?

The paint on your bike as well as the pin striping are not original.

Yes the numbers match and the VIN starts with 3X1....

Where do I go from there?

The first 3 alpha numerical digits of your vin tell you all you need.
Do the frame and engine numbers match ?
An 81 standard is a "H" model.

How do I work out what model my XS11 is? What does RH and LH mean? So many questions so much ignorance!

Are the decals original. I have not seen them on another picture.
