I have a DVD of Bill doing the mod to an xjr1300 exhaust to fit the XS1100. It’s a pretty simple mod as long as you have basic welding grinder skills.
Basically your just cutting a slit through 3/4 of the collector box and welding back together to change the angle the mufflers come out.
I try to make a copy if anyone needs it or I’ll defer to Christian for a copy.

Thanks folks for the info, staintunes would be nice and perhaps that still have the templates. See how I go with the option provided. Still have to get the thing to start. Wish me luck.

Have a look at Vance & Hines from the US, my brother got a 4 into 1 set for his GS 1000G cheaper than anything here in AUS including postage,  Look bloody good too, don’t know wether they make XS 1100 pipes but worth a try.

Not professing to be an expert but the XS I bought recently has Stayintune pipes that look and sound good (close to standard) that I was told were the envy of many!

Thanks XSIIE, appreciate the intel and will check these out. I saw the Mac but wasn’t sure if they are reasonable quality. Had some megaphones years ago but they were poorly made and touched down regularly.
I sent a message to be chap in Penrith re: transac pipes but no response.
Thanks again.

Giddy Tdog. There are options.

New - on an eBay world search you can get the Mac 4-1 or 4-2 systems from the US of Trump.

Used - again on the same search you can still get good used original standard pipes at a good price. Shipping will kill you though.

New - you can get a set of SS pipes from Germany that are near as damn to original in look an performance. One of the other forum members can give you details. Xtian?

You can modify a set of xjr 1200 pipes to fit.  Brett?

Joes m/c wreckers in Canberra might have a set ( best bet ) I could check out if you need me to.

Original systems in Aus are more rare than unicorn shit. There  was a guy in Sydney a few months back who had a 4-1 used set for 100 bucks.

I think there is a guy in Wollongong who had a set of originals for sale but that was a few years back and he wanted a lot of $$$$ for them. Brett do you remember???

Lots of options.

I’m new to sourcing parts for XS1100 however exhaust options seem a little on the lite side.
Does anyone have and advice.
