I have the 1196 Wiseco in my 78, They haven't let me down ......yet.

The Wiseco are twice the price of the Canadian ones, I've searched the US site but found no reviews.  I would imagine that if this was an economical mod the Yanks would have written about it.

Over to you John.

1. Be a pathfinder and get a set of the Canadian kit, do a workshop review.  This carries the risk of the unknown. but not too expensive. or

2. Be conservative and go Wiseco 1196, a lot less risk (to not working well) but at twice the cost.

Sorry no help at all.

I'm using a Wiseco piston kit - not coated tho - those coatings are a good thing - I would be using that if I needed a rebore for sure - mine is 1179cc (74mm bore)

polished crank and rods too

what's wrong with this photo?

Wow...seems awfully cheap .....in price that is.
Read this blurb from Wiseco regarding "Cast " Vs "Forged " pistons.
They seem to be the leaders in aftermarket big bore kits ....and make up your own mind.
