Thanks Steptoe,
I've been thinking of a new lid for a while now, mainly due to the discomfort of having my ears squashed against my head.

Q, whats the availability of spare visors?

RJAYS TSS Tour Tech,
I thought I,d give 12 months or so before this review so as to be able to give a true account, this is my first ever modular helmet, other brands were researched and tried, but dollar value, wieght, and the unknown were deciding factors to purchasing this particular helmet, base entry level of $178 there abouts {at my local store}so if I wasn,t comfortable or confident it wasn,t a huge outlay.

From the initial try on at the dealers, the very first thing you notice with the helmet fitted is that your ears are in a cavity, not squashed against your head, a huge plus in my book, then the wieght of it, while it may be a touch heavier than some modulars it was still quite a bit lighter than my full face.
having the drop down sunvisor the same as some of the more expensive helmets was also a plus as I wear glasses all the time, saves carrying 2 sets.

around town,
with the front up it is a large sun visor, excellent for driving into the sun in traffic,  and the ease of getting a fully gloved hand under the front to unclip is also a breeze

lets put it on the road,

it probably whistles about the same maybe a touch quieter than my full face, no real issue to me. Once on cruising speed is where a huge benifit was noticed straight away, at 100kph the first stand out was I wasn,t holding my head forward into the wind, the brochure said the small spoiler like molding on the back would do that and they're right, a huge win right there on 12/14 hr rides, you don,t have the burning muscles in the back of neck and shoulders any more WIN WIN, the other standout is I can turn my head left and right without resistance also WIN  WIN.
The drop down visor could come a little lower although after 10 or 15 minutes I didn,t really notice it was there. It's like wearing a small pair of sunglasses where you see the rim of white light under the glasses, no issue for me there either,

still no pressure point soreness
riding 2 1/2 hrs twice a week to and from work had still not shown any pressure point issues so we went on a good long day ride {1000klm},
4 1/2 maybe 5 hrs into it I started getting a small point in the very centre of my forehead so I tilted the helmet down a touch and it dissappeared instantly and to this day has,nt shown again

wet weather
having ridden through the hook of a cyclone for the best part of 45 mins  {the southern side where all the driving wind and rain is} and several other cracking storms since, the screen hasn,t leaked, and even the vents didn,t seem to let enough water in that you,d call the inside wet

12 months on
I ,m very happy with this helmet, we,ve installed bluetooth devices since and they sit inside the ear cavity with enough room still not to bother my ears,
I can listen to music and talk on phone with little wind hinderance
with carefull cleaning of both screens they are still unsratched and clear
and I, ve had no issues with the front not wanting to go up or dropping down,

I would recommend this helmet to anyone wanting to enter the modular helmet market
