Have you done spray around the intake areas test to see if it revs up?
How loud is the slurping, what condition is the air filter, could it just be you can hear the air induction?

The bike in 200 Km's is due for it's 5k regular oil change, that will include the Gearbox and diff, air filter also, I looked at Uni filter today, I've also bought 2 meters of fuel line to replace everything from the Octopus and others as they have gone hard and possibly brittle.

Steptoe, all look lean as though they are brand new and unused.

Cheers

spend a hundred mate, be the last filter you buy K & N
bit hard to diagnose a slurping sound, how many plugs were the lighter colour and what number were they,
ie does it have a vaccuum line that might be spit and be opening and closing with the valve

Standard Air filter no mods to the air box, don't really recall how old the filter is though, getting an oil filter this week so I may aswell get a new filter also.

Hey George,
No I'm not running it at the moment :P

The bike on hard acceleration/load sounds like you can hear the bike literally slurping.

Cheers

Lou

Injector clean it is, if that don't do it, then look at the needle setting.
I've always been a bit skeptical about additives, but I'll give it a go.

Thanks

Lou

As Jonesey said, it may not be an issue at all. But, by all means, start with the injector cleaner (added to the fuel tank, no need to pull anything apart yet) and see how it goes.
After that try lifting the slide needles up a notch just for insurance. It won't affect the state of tune but will give it slightly more fuel in the mid to upper ranges.
I had a bit of an issue with my motor pinging a bit under load on hot days. I raised my needles one notch and it stopped that problem instantly

Might not be any issue at all. these things are set up spot on from the factory, just thinking out loud....you might have partially restricted main jets? cure with injector cleaner or strip and clean jets. run richer with bigger jets but that opens a can of tuning worms.
or block off half your air filter :o

When I got back from Wellington, I took the plugs out of the bike to see how they were looking, they looked really lean.

On the weekend I did the Goulburn Rally and the plugs look like they have just come out of the packet as brand new from the shop, so I figure this ain't good, the jets are standard as per manual, how do you make the bike run richer?

Cheers
