That ridgy zorst has to be worth a $$ or 7. Mine came with the ridgy pipes plus 4- 1's. I had the 4-1's chrome plated twice. But before that I painted them black. then white, then blue..... then back to black I think.

Howdy folks. As A young fulla back in the day I remember reading a Two Wheels ( I think..) road test of the XS1100. Maybe 1977 and being blown away. Although around then , or 78 I would have rather had a GS1000 or 1000S. ( which is a bike you never see around) Although at the time I owned a rattly old DT250 which I thought was the ducks nuts....Does anyone have a copy to share or a link to original XS1100 test??.. Heres a pic of a GSX1100E which just got sold by Surfside M/Cs at Brookvale. Fully restored , went for around $16k. Totally original except for the smaller 20 L tank. I had exactly the same model and colour etc in 1983. Power wise, torque, weight, handling, brakes--the GSX 11 ran rings around the XS. Maybe even fuel economy, I remember getting over 60 mpg when I first got it...Except for the dreaded weave over 140 km/h one up. Which I solved by carrying a pillion..lol...Also a pic of me on the GSX the day I bought it-----looking suitably scared and wondering how to explain it to my parents... I traded my 76 RD400 in for it. pics to come..........
