Any of the inlet rubbers on ebay from the US of A are OK.

The only difference is the total cost including postage (around US$110)

They all work well.

You can also get the wheel removal tool on ebay available sporadically.

You will need both of these to make it work.

The Torque stopper  (IJ7-25374-00) is in the realms of nearly unobtainium.  I bought one 5 years ago and it has taken another 5 years to get hold of another NOS from the states.

I haven't found a generic replacement yet however if you were industrious you could rig one temporarily from Clarkes Rubber (the shop)

What I know so far!

First of all, that I have joined a great community! Thanks so far for the encouragement and advice.
The lights are working as they should. Most wires were colour matchups but there was a blue (from rh controls) to yellow at a joining plug that I spotted in the wiring diagram so i stuck a temp' connection with an in-line fuse there just in case. Started up and all good. In the end I'm left in the front head light loom with a red hot wire (always live) and a blue that doesn't come live at all. (so far) For the red one my eye is on the cigarette lighter they had in the fairing, (still haven't found the ashtray) The indicators illuminate, but don't flash. That might be the load issue or maybe the flash cam anyway shouldn't be a big one. So I'm nearly there for a road worthy.
Next thing I know is that the guy who designed the exhaust to be in the way of the rear axle was a fool. Don't have the wire thing so did it with a ratchet strap and small sling. My only hope is that the designer's job for life at yamaha, ended up as rear wheel removal and refitting specialist in the workshop. While we are down the back end. The rubber grommet at the front of torque stopper that goes in the key hole and connects to swing arm, can I get a generic, the original was perished and now we have metal on metal where i'd prefer not. (you can stop me if i'm being too pedantic)
And on to rubber. The 4 inlet rubbers are cracked although I don't think all the way through otherwise it wouldn't idle so well. Yamaha here in brisbane wanted $100 each for them. I asked, "is that fitted with a carby balance and tuning" he laughed at me.
I told hime I can get all 4 from either the states or UK for under a hundred delivered, and then had a laugh myself. (probably the same guy that designed the exhaust!) Has anyone got opinions about which is the best place to source these? I'll put some rtv silicone around the fitted ones to keep the project moving for now.
New side covers are coming from replico in South Aust. shouldn't need those for road worthy but might pay to wait another week coz 'appearances matter' as my mother used to say.
Anyway no more boring ramble, thanks again for the great welcome. Hope to see you on the highways soon.
David.
