Lou, they were a pair of S&W airsprings that were on the bike when I bought it. Unfortunately, a while ago the seals gave up and there was some scratches on the bodies that caused the leaks.
They would've had to be refinished in Hard Chrome again to enable them to be rebuilt but the $$$ was going to be mega, so they're done with.
It's a real pity though as they were very comfotable and had excellent damping too.
Mind you, I did get about 260,000 klms out of them so they did pretty well.

Hey Errol and Eddie,

We know that those shorter RH/Special pipes look so much better than a "STANDARD" Exhaust don't we :) :) (waiting for the bashing now) Sorry to take the spotlight away from the exhausts , but Errol what are those rear shocks your running? they look SHMICK :D????

Cheers

Jonesey, The ally footpeg mounts/exhaust hangers are a different shape and the mounting holes don't line up (exactly) though they could most likely be modified to fit. Tha American "H" models actually used the Special exhaust on them so they're not too far off the mark.

Ermm, Jeff...... the Special pipes actually pull up just short of the axle leaving unrestricted access to the axle.

WOT?? :o....you mean they are NOT "PLUG AND PLAY?'
WTF.... ;D

It's the lower shockie bolts that are a hassle to get at.

The brake padal will be the biggest issue, but wouldn't be too hard for someone like you to make it work.

Here's a link to the interchange thread on this subject on the dotcom site - CLICKY
Note that all their references to the parts fitting are based on a "without modification" basis.
Pretty sure most of us could make them work with minor "tweaks"

1) don't the roundy mufflers stop short of the axle?
2) change the foot peg hangers or make a bracket to adapt standard hangers to roundy muffler?
3) will roundy hangers bolt straight onto a standard or are there other considerations like pegs, brake pedals etc?

Nothing is impossible...although other issues would be ......suspension travel as well as rear wheel removal due to the shorter in length mufflers having the widest part closer to the axel.

You will have to change the foot peg hangers.

Standard exhausts come up from time to time.
