Thanks for the link,  will contact them for a quote.

I discounted powder coating because althouh the finish was good it was a pain to repair.

Hi Eddy, on a similar vein, we were talking about HPC ---ceramic-- coatigs. found this
www.jet-hot.com.au       Jet Hot coatings. They are in Castlemaine VIc.
Have you thought about powder coating??? A LOT cheaper..

Thanks for the advice fellas, I will pick up my bits from swifts an get a number of other quotes.  I kinda got a look in my head for the 3131 rebuild. Still can't get photos uploaded >:( >:( >:(

there's another chrome shop  I've used many years ago   on canterbury road  between campsie and canterbury
they used to do every thing  if they're still going
former xs  owner  but still has an itch

It always pays to get a number of quotes......but don t be surprised if they come in thereabouts on that price also due to the expensive cost of electricity these days. :'(

I think the swing arm scared them off, you know grease and all.

Hi Folks,

Just put the swing arm, engine mounts, and a couple of brackets in for a quote on chrome plating.

The quote came in at nearly $900.

Can any one recommend electoplaters that arn't so costly?
