Back in September I loaded up the FJR on Saturday to go to Tottenham [the Far Cairn Rally] and then the bloody thing wouldn't start. Worked on it until 2:00 pm, gave up loaded up the CBX (only bike with rego) and took off for the 450 Km trip.
Arrived well after dark, eyeballs on hanging out after looking for Roos for the last 60-70 Km.
Rode home Sunday. At Yass on the way there I was really wondering about my sanity. It was freezing cold and the CBX isn't the easiest bike to tour on without its fairing.
Turns out the FJR doesnt like being started and stopped with out heating the engine fully. The plugs had fouled up, a new set fixed it. I now push it in and out of the shed instead of short cycling it.
In Canberra we can register bikes three months at a time and if we renew within 12 months of the expiry date we dont have to have it inspected, simply go onto the Net and pay a third of the fees plus $25 admin fee
