"1980 Yamaha XS1100 with matching DJP sidecar. The bike has leading link front forks and the rear disc brake has been replaced with a drum brake from a Suzuki Baleno retaining the parking brake mechanism. The rear brake is coupled with a Daihatsu drum brake on the sidecar retaing the parking brake mechanism for independant sidecar braking. The rear wheel has a 15" rim for a car type tyre. The sidecar body has been raised and sprung which allows the use of a 13" wheel in place of the 10" original. The result is a combination that rides and handles very well. The outfit is being sold "as is". The engine smokes a little and requires carbie clean and tune. It will require a new rear tyre for RWC. Replacements in the past couple of years include a new front brake master cylinder, resleeved rear master cylinder, carbie diaphragms and Dyna ignition coils."
