OEM tyres... when you rode one of these babies out of the showroom, were IRC .Front tyre was ribbed. I opted to have them removed immediately and fit Continentals.

did any body else notice the Avon tyres,,  maybe part of the design plan,, they still handle better with them than any other tyre IMHO,, ask Ev too  ;) :-X

Gotta agree with you Paul..........i ve said it many times...........That USA version was a let down in many ways.........
Smaller tank , rear indicators mounted where they interfere with side bags , no oil cooler  , alloy finish on motor , different handlebars , ...........
then again......when you see what the yanks did to these bikes regarding the seats and fairings they used to put on them.........maybe they got it right for that market.
The version you see here in Australia was also released in Canada , South Africa , England , Germany and most of Europe.

I must say that  the Aussie version with the black motor looks heaps better. 

That was one hell of an era for motorcycling, I'm glad I got to experience it all.
