No Pete. That one on Ebay was the bike in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th pics. Apparently it went for about $1500!
The one in the museum is in the next 3 pics down from them. More detailed chat about them was on the UK site - CLICK in pre XS1100 AU sites time.

Paul, the (dark) interior photos at the bottom are from the museum. It was a great ride. 800klms for me, and Geoff and Sid did another hundred on top of that. Bloody hot, though! Ride report will be posted in the coming days

Hey Errol

They're good pics, I take it they are from the museum you went to?  Did you have a good day's ride?

Thought I'd get these together in their own thread. Newies are at the bottom.

^ photo confirms the box above the instruments is a digital speed display with a "Hold" button to record the speed for infringement reference.

^ red switch knob appears to be for light / siren. Small black switch above that is a mystery still.

^ Extra toggle switches in fairing - ?????

^ Radio  and pannier mounting frames. Noted that the original seat mount brackets sit unused on the bike's frame.

^ Helmet lock bracket bent down for extra clearance for the seat

 ^ Flashing light fittings

^ Complete dah / control / fairing layout

^ Left side switchblock is standard XS. Alloy box behind it is for radio microphone operation

^ Headlight ears just folded in to clear the fairing. That's all they did to fit the fairing back then.

^ Sirens and light setup. It'd be interesting to see if they ran an XJ type alternator as this lot would quickly overwhelm the normal XS charging system.
