Was an excellent day out! Definitely worth the early morning run to be there.
Lots of brownie points to Mr & Mrs Steptoe for having the foresight to print off the XS1100 business cards, and 1100 extra points for the banner! Excellent idea!
Thanks to Bryan for having the tent where we could display our bikes & sit n the shade all day.
Thanks to god for the awesome weather on the day!

Was great to meet Phil and Hen and share some xsive tales with them. Apologies to Hen for not having the towbar on to show how they're set up, but there's a thread on here showing exactly how to do it - CLICK
Or, when you've got the bike running, pop up for a visit, mate, and see for yourself.

It's funny that for everyone who stopped in for a chat, nearly everyone who even came in for a quick look could be heard saying that they used to have one of these XS11's.
It was handy having the three main variants of the models here in the stand so people could see the differences between them, even though Bryan's is an abstract version of a stocker. Anyone with a stock, E,F,G, or H model interested in displaying it next year?

Sorry for lack of pics. Tried getting out and about but people were crowded around every bike I looked at. Only really got some of the crowd, of which Bryan got some better ones, so I'll let them stand.

As in years past, sadly Geoff and I had to high tail it early due to work commitments.
Bryan, my apologies for not swinging by to say goodbye. Ran into some old Ulysses buddies at a crucial moment. Sorry , mate.
( I did survive my shift that night and it was great to hit the sheets after 34 hours on the go)

mission accomplished ,,

we,ve done it, our first official stand at a show,, under the tent there was Bryans'  Evs' and my bikes,, in front of a banner of the site logo that Mrs steptoe thought to get printed,,, measuring 1750mm x 1200mm,

 along with some business cards, which can be order thru myself, {pm an addy and they'll be sent} maybe wait till I post a piccy of them first

the day was spent chatting to quite a few guys walking down memeory lane,,

but the surprising thing which maybe shouldn,t have been,,,was the amount of fella,s and a couple of girls that took cards and wanted to chat about problems ,,

we got to meet Hen,, he stuck his head in and said hi,, along with Phil,, {one point one} also from brissy,, another gent that works and lives o/s ATM but has bought a Ventura from the states and is shipping it back to here,, so hopefully he will pop in here and say hi

another chap that his 11 was mentioned in last years show,,, he parked it and bolted and we couldn't find him,,, well he found us at the show and talked for a fair while,,

all in all a bloody successful day, just what the site needed, no doubt a whole lot of people that didn,t stop and say hello, might come here and have a look if nothing else and tell some one they know

looks like I will have to catch up with you blokes next year, had decided that any shite from the missus would be worth it to head back up for a weekend, then a mate tells me he has his 50th party on 11/8/12.
 so I called him every name under the sun ( + a few more I think ) and said I'd be there.
