Well it's been a while  8) 8) 8), but I'm glad to see many familiar faces still on here.

Hadn't touched the bike in nearly 2 years. After the Bourke meet-up I had all sorts of carb troubles and decided to swap them out for ZRX1100 Keihin's. Around the same time I knocked down the old shed and built a new one, built a deck and pergola etc. etc. The bike sat undercover and got forgotten.

Well finally got round to getting it going again yesterday. Haven't taken it for a spin yet, but it roars like a lion.

Hope to catch up on all the news and say hello again.

PS: where can I see pics of Christian's rebuilt bike?

Hi Steptoe

They probably look better in the pic than they do in real life.

I was getting two new tyres, so I used oven cleaner on the wheels. About 3 applications and rubbed it in with those green scouring pads and coarse steel wool (used heavy duty rubber gloves).

Then I gave them a rub with fine steel wool to polish them up a bit, with Autosol around the rims.

that is one very well finished off 1.1,,,,,,what did you use to bring your wheels up to that finish,I know you polished the alloy, but how about the gold?

Here's what it looked like when I bought it. Complete, but pretty damned ugly.

Hi,

have met many of you before on the UK site.

Wanted to say well done to Christian for getting this site up and running. Looks great and plenty of good chat going on.

A few pics for you of the bike....

Have done a fair bit of painting since the video was taken. Engine looks a lot better.

Bike is very original (pipes etc) and runs beautifully.

Next changes will be a set of Ikon shocks at the back and Gold Valve emulators and a brace at the front.
