Changing engine mounts
« Reply #1 on: February 25, 2011, 10:28:01 AM »
Ok, this may be a dumb question, but I have to ask all the combined wisdom out there... can you change the engine mounts in a 2H9 (78 model) XS without removing the engine from frame??
I will admit I havent yet had a good look at the setup, but I think I may need to do this, Ive noted an increased vibration around 5-6k that I havent really had and Im putting it down to the engine mounts never being replaced yet.
Exhausts etc arent touching, all else in good tidy condition and cant find touching surfaces. Had Tope end /pistons /rings  /new clutch done about 2k ago, its been there since then.
Any thoughts welcome on this one....
