My partner won't let me have two bikes? ???

Some partnership.

I solved that one years ago by getting she herself a licence and her own bike.
Now she's always on at me about buying a new bike and keeping the XS for special runs.

Ya gotta love em eh!

Don't get me wrong I love my bike, went on a 200k ride today and it runs like a new bike. I just want to get a sportsbike, my partner won't let me have 2 bikes and we want to go overseas in August:P

Don't go for a quick sale especially when it is a sale you will regret anyway.
Sell it for what you think it is worth and nothing less

Couldn't agree  more. I still have my XS because I wasn't prepared to take a lower offer when I tried to sell it before going OS for three years. I had only owned it about 12months and it had taken me a lot of time and effort to get it sorted out, only to be offered less than I had paid for it. Storing it for three years instead has certainly not been a decision I've regretted.

Why not take out a loan for your trip..................and keep the bike. You can always repay the loan...........and hang on to the bike.

I wouldn t say no one is interested............it s a matter if anyone has a spare $5,000 lying around especially after xmas.Sometimes timing is everything.I for one would love to own your bike............and if we took a straw pole on here................i m guessing everyone on here bar a few would love to own it.Now here comes the crunch...........a quick sale either means...take your chances on ebay or run a lower buy it now price. And i don t think anyone disputes your bike isn t worth what your asking. On a sliding scale for instance............if you offered it for sale for $2,500.......i think it would be sold within minutes , days or a week at most...........$$3,0000....in 2 or 3 weeks..................$3,500a month.............and so on...........well you get the general picture........your price is fair for the bike........it s just a matter of time.....and how long you want to wait.
