I got one off a XS650 with a small ding in it and chrome is buggered. Will fit standard but not special. The holes bolt up different on the forks making the guard rub on the wheel. I think cause the axle on a special wheel is out the front instead of underneath forks. You might be able to swap over brackets and use, not sure on your welding skills. yours for $10 plus over the ditch post. Let me know if this is any good otherwise good luck with the search. you never know. Cheers Carl

Bugger.  :(  I can get one from the States for 15 bucks US but they want 49.50 to post it. Works out to around 95NZD at the current xchange rate, which is probably still cheap but it's a little outside the budget at the moment.

Hi Fungorus, do you have a front guard for a special? and if so will you ship it a cross the ditch to NZ? Condition of chrome isnt important as id be painting it anyway. I'm new here but i've been on the US site for a while and have been getting my bits from the states and canada, but exchange rates are falling and the cost of shipping is getting too high.
