Here's some similar 4-pot calipers(mid-nineties GSXR750) rigged to standard XS11 forks with homemade brackets hack-sawed from chunks of alloy,  gave all the braking power you could ever need,  best with a 12mm - 13mm master cylinder though,  stock 16mm XS11 cylinder still works but for me lacked good feel for the stomping 4-pot brakes,  threw on a fireblade MC to better match them.   Eventually swapped to thicker/stiffer forks which bolted direct to Blue-spots and ran the same fireblade MC with them.  Those nissin GSXR calipers and the R1/R6/XJR bluespots perform pretty much identical on the big-bertha XS11.   Just a light caress needed to pop your eyeballs out braking at any speed if so desired

Mate, I'd love to have a setup like your bluespots, but current budgetary constraints force me to try to get by with what I've got on hand if possible.

well,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I know what I'D do,,

                                                             HAVE A LARROP

failing that,, how about we take some measurements/patterns off mine next when the 2 are beside each other, make some thing up and see if it fits first

which 2 bolts are the caliper mount bolts on the keg,,,1 will be the 2nd top above the banjo,, is the other the rusty 1 bottom ctre of axle??

or are they the top 2 above the banjo ??

either way we can make it fit,, not sure what it will look like though

Ok fella's. Here's some pics of what I'm thinking of
Fistly, here's the different types of XS11 Fork sliders

^ The Standard "E" fork sliders with single piston sliding calipers

^ My Special's rocking style ATE Fork sliders

^ The RH's fork sliders with floating calipers (photo courtesy of Steptoe)

Upon refitting my original forks and brakes to my baby, I was horrified by the lack of braking power even compared to the Standard E brakes. Only the calipers were changed. All the lines stayed as is, and fitted a new set of SBS sintered sport pads and the result is woeful, to say the least. I've got a set of braided lines on the way to see if that makes a difference, but I have a plan.

I'm thinking of pulling the Tokico 4 spot calipers off the keg and seeing if I can fit them up front on the bike as they're a massive case of overkill being on the trailer where only a fraction of the brake's power can be used before locking the wheels. In order to get them on the front though, I need to get a pair of the more nomal type of caliper mount lugs like on the RH from which I can make some brackets to hang them off. As yiou can see, the Special's sliders are totally unique and aren't modifiable in any way to suit my needs. The added bonus is that my Special's front guard and speedo drive will fit straight onto the RH leading axle sliders, and will maintain my steering geometry. What do you reckon, fellas?

They are different lengths.....I  have interchanged them and made it work ( need to swap internals as well) but you change the steering geometry..........as a point of interest the seals are different to, the outside diameter by 1mm......
We are not all the same, but we are all equal.

hey bro,

what makes them different from the 78E?

I've got a set of them somewhere that you'd be welcome to.

Would anyone happen to have a spare pair of RH fork sliders laying around?
