when i bed the pads in,
i use the brakes really hard,
find a quiet well sealed road, get the bike up2 at least 60k's
and brake really hard  they wont lock up but still be careful,
do this 3 - 4 times the higher the speed the better 80-100k's.
i do this for car brakes as well.

you can try this method if your pads squeal, sometimes it works.

I bedded them in according to Hoyle......done this sort of thing before as it turns out....
I will be servicing the big girl after easter and will attend to the edges then -
I will be fitting new coils, cam chain adjuster, and hopefully, carbies (none at Brisvagis wreckers),
and a good clean up while I'm at it.

I'm always under pressure to take in less fluid volume

that doesn't make sense Bryan.

I would have thought that if you are using a smaller diameter hole, thereby piston, thereby less fluid at the source (master cylinder) then you would get less ariving at the caliper end thereby recieving less pressure. Hence less braking effect.

hey Fred
I am using a smaller diameter master cylinder (on the front) - off a z750r - result is more pressure at the caliper for the same effort at the lever - what you have done is what these old girls need....

thats the way, especially if you've never had the discs shaved and they are deeply rutted. ::)

Last night fitted a set of Stainless Steel Lines, rear master cylinder kit, new front master cylinder/brake lever and all three calipers rebuilt including new pistons and Brembo pads.

Hot thirsty work I tell you. ;D

Now for the fun bit a little later on today. YEH HA! :P
