Nearly have the tailights fitted.  Laid out independently the taillight and indicators work fine.  Put it all together through the bracket and all sorts of wierd things happen.  Worked it out to be short circuits.  The only thing I cant fix yet is the left indicator. Doesnt  works when the bolt is tightened that holds the indicator to the stub , undo the bolt and loosen the indicatorand it works fine.  Patience required.

Mate,

I did put out a warning about Bulldog Wreckers 12 Months ago.

The black earth wire is for the OEM Taillight which has the yellow, blue and BLACK wires comming out of it. Most after market lights didn't have the Black Earth wire.

Have finally worked out the wiring for the rear lights.  There is a couple of wires and connectors missing.  Christ knows what Bulldog Wreckers sold me.  I have a question.  On the rear guard there is a short earth wire with a double connector.  Its bolted on the right hand side.  There doesnt seem to be anything to plug into it.  Any suggestions please.

Thanks guys,
Cover removed and homemade gasket installed.  Runs very well, without leaking.  Have fitted front indicator (Miti from England) and working on taillight.  Unfortunately having to use the crap from Bulldog Wreckers in lieu anything good.  But at least it will get me registered and on the road.
Thanks
Carsten

that's about it,,leave the front bolt in and lift the cover up and back, once the bolt is clear, pull it out, then cut about 7mm off the thread, comes out and goes in as easy as the rest of them,,

the other thing I did was remove the horn cross frame bracket, lots more room

that's funny Pete,, mine comes out easier from the left  ;D ;D

like dale says the cover will come out,
that front bolt can be a pain, i loosen the front bolt
but leave it in the cover, remove all the remaining bolts
lift and wiggle a little, i remove mine from the right side of the
engine, its a little tricky but will come out.

The cover will come off with the engine in the frame you just need to take your time and do not use excessive force

Hi guys,
Trying to remove rocker cover and put in a gasket or gasket goo(leaking oil).  Is the cover meant to come off without pulling the enging out (hope so).  The cover is getting stuck on the front screw, even though one face has been flattened, I assume to allow it to pass the frame, I cant get it past and then by looking at the room available it would be a tight squeeze, if at all.  This is on the 81RH.
Thanks
Carsten
