hi ken
warm the engine up,
remove the 4 spark plugs, place the plugs back in the boots
and rest the plugs on the engine, i do this for 2 reasons, mainly it prevents
stuffing up the coil and to see how strong the spark is.
hold the throttle wide open
and crank about 4 - 5 times
your looking 4 consitency, from memory around 148psi is stock.

Easiest way is to drop the plug leads off, then you can crank away to your hearts content.
Enjoy your ride, mate.  Wish the weather could stay this nice for a while, but they reckon there's a change coming through tomorrow sometime so get out there while it lasts.

Hi,
Just wondering how to check the engine compression ??  links??
Bought a tester.

I dont want the bike to "run", only need it to tick over 3-4 times testing each cylinder.
Then to add just a dribble of oil for 3 turns.

Taking the bike out today, great day here.
