Hey Errol, mate thanks again as you have steered me in the right direction and I purchased the toolkit with the two extension Tubes. Seemed like the better option price wise, and I may even be able to help out anyone who's looking for an extention somewhere down the track.
Cheers: Phil

Phil, I found a toolkit on the bay that has 2 of the extension handles in it. Price is right too.

You are an absolute Champion Eveready, I can't thank you enough. As for the toolbox being under the seat, yes it's still there and in very good shape too. I will PM you and we can work out the price and addresses too. Mate I am blown away by your generosity and hope that one day I can return the favour.
Cheers: Phil

Gee phil, I didn't realise you had no toolkit at all for the bike. The toolbox is under the seat though, eh? Had a bit more of a look now knowing your circumstances. This is what I can spare.

http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad349/Eveready1100/XS11%20Fork%20pics/00000011.jpg[/img]]

Genuine Yamaha: Toolpouch. No rips but bottom catch on snap clip has pulled through the plastic.
: Wire tool and handle - thought I had a spare extension tube but tis gone
                           : 27, 22, and 19mm six sided ring spanners
: Double ended screwdriver with handle
                           : 14/17mm open ended spanner
Non yamaha but helps fill the pouch and look period
                           : 12/10mm and 8/9mm open enders
: Spark plug socket - about 1/2 inch shorter than the original but close match
: Pair of small adjustable pliers - once again, a bit smaller but similar to original ( not in pic)
The spanners in these kits weren't noted to be made of the best materials, so were routinely chucked out and replaced by tools less likely to round off bolt heads etc  but the 6 sided rings are great for getting the infamous oil filter bolt undone without damage.
The oil dipstick I don't have a spare anymore but have currently seen them on the Bay NOS cheap
If you don't want the extra bits just let me know

Ok Phil. Times up. I've taken heaps of pics and made detailed drawings of mine for maybe having another crack at a repro when things aren't so hectic at work. Just too hard at the moment.
Have you got the extension tube that fits on the ring spanners in the factory toolkit?  That also fits on the end of the lever in the photos. If you haven't got it, let me know and I'll sort that too.
PM me and we'll get the ball rolling so you can be rolling too when you're ready.
At least this way, You'll have it in time for Xmas

Like I said before Eveready, you are a champion mate, thanks so much for the effort you have already put into finding this extremely rare piece of craftsmanship. I will leave it in your court mate, but seriously there is absolutely no rush as this bike of mine is still well within the restoration phase of it's journey. Can't thank you enough mate, hope you don't get caught doing the foreign order. ;D
Cheers: Phil

Had a couple of goes at fabbing up a cable, Phil. Ran out of time, though. It's bloody inconvenient when you have to drop an important foreign order to deal with work issues, like doing some.
Don't go worrying about that new stuff on the net. I'll have you sorted one way or the other by the end of next weekend,ok?
Put a post on the yank site saying how dissappointed I was with the result of a wanted post on their site considering how many of them are running chops, bobbers, trikes etc. or have aftermarket pipes on, but no one's got this wire tool to spare.

Hey Jeff,
yeah I saw that one on EBay the other day, but I thought I would try to find a local one first. But if all else fails then I will have to settle on that one.

Thanks Everready, you are a champion. Hope we get lucky with your fitter mates, I can't believe the prices that are charged overseas. Almost makes you want to start up a business over there.  :)

yeah, got some good stuff alright but look at the prices. :o :o

you could buy a complete parts bike here cheaper than a couple of bits from him. ???

it was a good exercise for remembering my german though.

If it helps at all. do a google search on "Translate English to German".
I clicked on the first one and entered in my keyword for it to translate. Pretty hit and miss, though. Maybe I should've paid a bit more attention while I was at School. I suppose, if you kept at it for a while, you'd start to pick up of recognition to the phrases you're looking for.

And, yes, there is a LOT of great gear available over there.

Hey Phil! I found one! Only the cable though, but when you see the price...........CLICK

Might keep looking, eh?

BTW  Miti has got a handle but he's in the UK

Hey Mate, gee that worked out to be $100, and that's not including postage  :( It would help if I could speak their language too  ;D Very interesting shop as they have some awesome gear for the XS, just need an interprater to know what the adds say. Thanks again Eveready for your keen eye, much appreciated, but yeah lets keep looking mate.
