Mate,

went down this road myself two years ago. :(
Found one on Ebay in the UK with a very good base but the rest was stuffed.
Got the bloke to send just the base $35 plus $12 postage than took it to a local canvas and leather guru with my old one and he made up a new seat including the piping around the edges for $90.

Total = $137. Check it out on my pics.

I'm happy ;D ;D ;D

Hey Carl,

I know you said no to this before, but if your sheds anything like mine, and you're doing a clean out you may have found one. All I need now to get mine on the road is a seat. Would you have one? Or would you know where / who I could chase down? The base of mine is stuffed but the foam is alright. I've chased around & a couple of blokes here on the mainland can make a fibreglass base for me but will cost around $300 (just for the base...yep...)

Cheers

Blueday - I presume it was the one on EBay. It has a thread of it's own already.

G'day there. I am very soon to be the proud owner of an 81 XS11 special that will need a little TLC before I can get it on the road. It's been dropped on its LHS and smashed the Pick ups cover, magneto (??) and the mounting bracket for the pick ups. Do you have any of these bits for sale? you can call me on 0413 202 771. Cheers, John

Hi Carl,
Do you mean non Yamaha cafe racer style clip ons? I have a pair here but I cant use them because i puts too much downward pressure on my wrists. I'll look and make sure I know exactly where they are.
