have just come home from having tea out,, chat turned to this subject and it came out that here in QLD CTP actually came down last year  :o

well, reading the second paragraph there's your answer,,

it's not hard to find their revenue reasons

168000 riders x CTP = A BLOODY LOT + 500 000 potential owners x CTP = HOW MUCH  :o,

then if we multiply that number with the amount of people that will only buy scooters, because of the green thing, and the parking thing, then they get a REALLY big number

and with a govt that spends more than it gets,, needs all the money they can belt out of you'se

and I spose they'll try it up here soon enough

They said we had about 1500 there for the protest......surprised how few scooter and small bike riders there were as they are the ones who are going to be hardest hit.
MCC now has a seat on the Motor Accident Authority due to this protest.
If it happens here it will happen everywhere else
