Gee, Rhodie. Your bike is a beauty!
It's a real pity you didn't make Bourke. I'd love to see it in the flesh (or metal)

Hey everyone!  ;) I haven't posted here for a while but I was poking around here and found this old thread and since I can't resist an opportunity to post some pics here's a few from a ride some of us took last fall ( september here) through Arkansas and Oklahoma.

This is in far south eastern Oklahoma on the way back north all loaded.

This is a bridge we saw while riding through central Arkansas. We thought it was pretty cool looking so we lined up on it for a pic.
Bikes L to R..trbig's XJ, trbig's 81 Special (his son David), XJOK2PLAY's XJ, JWHoughes' 80 Special, and my 80 Special.

We're all packed because we spent 3 days on the road and never stayed the same place.

1980 SG  Regular ride
1979 SF  Hot rod project
A garage full of parts bikes and parts to keep these 2 alive.

I just read an article on the
dangers of drinking....
Scared the shit out of me.
So that's it!
After today, no more reading.

Spoked back wheel too,  that's a rare one

They were on it when I got it. Need a shit load of polishing
::)...still its a good excuse for more beers.I want to upgrade the front brakes with Busa or similar R1? calipers but the problem is the width of the spoked rims.Id like to fit a whole new front end off something else but it has to be shiny alloy. My forks  are standard...just with a LOT of polishing( and beer). Apparently Busa forks can be a fairly easy fit.
I cant seem to get that pic to work??? Anyone want to put the pic of my bike off my last post here?? Or somewhere.
Cheers, Chrisso
