Recommended tiers

Hi. Through a combinationo of covid  (Pirelli) and a change in the model from bt45 to bt46 (Bridgestone ), I could not get a matching set of these tires before March . In the end I went for Bridgestone H50s.  The sizes were in stock. So far so good but haven't tried them in the wet so far.  With a combined bike and rider age  of near on 100, a cruiser model will be fine I hope.

Well now I feel shamed😕 I’m still on my first set! Tho they do feel good, I only weigh 65 kg’s so I only run 32 front, 34 back, the front is flat at the moment, I’ve been waiting 4 months for front calliper pistons and seal kits, got them 3 weeks ago but haven’t had the time to fit them, too much work to do on the farm, maby in a few weeks I’ll get around to it and I’ll look at the tyre then.

I chose the battle axe for their mileage, I'm Om my 5th set and was averaging 16,000 km, best was 18 but they were knackered.

I usually get one front to 2 rears. And a bit neglectful to tyre pressures, my routine is to press the tyre with my thumb and if it feels hard that'll do, if I do happen to pump them up its mid to high 30's front and rear

I'm interested to hear what pressures you chaps run - I found the 34F and 36R was adequate except for the BT45's
the combo of the soft sides and machine weight caused "scalloping" on the front and I was changing fronts 2 to one to the rears -
increasing the front pressure solved that but then I discovered the Pirelli sport demon - great tyre - back to 34/36 unless at the track
 
with the 17" wheels I'm running ATM - pressures are 36F and 32R - its a totally different kettle of fish

I’m with Bryan, I wanted something that hangs on in the wet cos the reflexes aren’t as quick as they used to be, but I will admit I haven’t tried the Bridgstones.

Bridgestone BT 45's, I run tubes in all mine. mind you I don't push them in the wet.

Hi.
I've pretty much worn out the tires on the XS11 Special.  The Kenda tires are ok in the dry but very very scary in the wet.  Are there any recommendations for suitable tires. Do people go for tubless or tubes tires?
