Hi Owen. Looks like Speed and Sport has them in stock - http://store.speedandsportinc.com/ look up XS1100 and it's part number 13 on the diagram.  Official part number is 584-26393-01-00. They are a good mob to deal with  ;)

Hi.
Some time ago, I found that the little keeper plate that holds the end of the throttle cable up to the twist grip was missing. I've made a temporary repair that's lasted three years but it would be nice to do better. Can somebody take a picture of one so I can fashion a similar thing.  I'm sure that yamaha have made a million of these things but they are not available as a spare now.  :D

Hi.
Thanks for the reply. I'll try the local Yamaha dealer for the throttle cable.  I found a link to John Stamns Performance and will look them up for some brake lines. I'm looking forward to trying the new riding position for some distant socialising  rather than some social distancing :).

Hey OwenP, a standard throttle cable will fit straight on and should still be available from Yamaha. I can send you the part number if you need.
You can have braided brake-lines made to measure from john Stams performance in Queensland.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
I changed the wheelbarrow shaped handlebars on the special for a more normal bend.  The wheelbarrow bars work well around town because they are surprisingly narrow, which is cool for lane splitting but harder in the car parks.  Some of the extra length of wiring went into the headlight shell and the rest will be looped under the tank (I hope!).  I've ordered a clutch cable already so that's taken care.

Anyway, I now have throttle cable and a master brake cylinder hose that is 120mm longer than they need to be.  Is there a place recommended in Brisbane or online shopping in Australia where I can get spare cables and brakes lines, possibly made to measure?
