Slightly OT, but at the risk of enraging the mods.....just did piston ring gap check and all within spec, no adjustments required.    One on the high side but still within SAE spec.

I'm considering buying another 1196 kit for RH#2, but apart from not having pulled the motor down yet, the worldwide freight system is in a bit of chaos at the moment due to the disruption of the commercial passenger airline industry (they are also normally used to carry a lot of freight).    There's considerable delays from many countries.  Things will catch up.....eventually.
Also may be better to wait for our $ to go up a bit more

Maybe a bulk order could go in to him if anyone is interested in getting some bits??
Saves on the postage price
I used to buy his gasket kits in bulk and his carb rubbers both front and back, and all his bits a very good quality.
Any takers??

I purchased one of their 1196 piston kits awhile back for RH#1 engine rebuild.   Price was good and the as-received quality of the pistons couldn't be faulted.     I've just got the rebored block back and the comment was that the pistons were some of the best he's seen....every piston miked up identical.
