Clutch, I have an undercut and slotted 5th and 2nd gear if you want it, should be quicker to swap than pulling the carbies  ;)

Yep, same with mine.  It doesn't jump out of gear rather it "chatters".

Thanks Bretts, I haven't mastered adding pics yet but that's the one under " 80G with sidecar for sale"
Eddie, I will be checking drive line when the wheel comes off for a tyre but so far it has only done it in 2nd gear, all other gears seem ok

Congrats, sounds like fun. Got any pics, guessing it’s the one I saw up for sale recently.

Dave,

Due to the extra load the teeth on the drive shaft may be damaged.

Mine did the same and after some investigation the big end of the aforementioned shaft spline was identified as the culprit.

Also check for wear on the diffs female spline.

For all those not up to date I recently aquired tykwy's xs/sidecar and although it requires some lovin and attention I think it will get there.
Had not even ridden an outfit until I went for a test ride so that was something in itself, but by the time I had it home I was wrapped with it and didn't want to stop
Got to say I have taken to it like an xs1100 to a 5L bottle of engine oil
I do need some std taps as it has aftermarket taps fitted but  the tank has been raised for lines to clear carbys
Just starting to sort problems, have rear brake working great now, just need to improve front brake, hopefully new fluid and a bleed will  do the trick.
Dropped the carbys off to reseal leaking manifold so now requires a retune ( don't know why jonsey made out it was a big deal off and back on in an afternoon)
Made some temp repairs to oil leaks with silastic untill more  gaskets arrive
Have ordered new tyres and if I'm home by saturday will get them fitted
I do have  an issue with 2nd gear where it seems to slip/jump but have only found it in 2nd gear and also noisey middle gear but it looks like its been opened before so not too sure about that one, do have a spare.
