If it ends up being the guys near Sydney don’t have far to ride they could take an alternate route north or south or even West towards Canberra and ride in with the other guys.

I'm good with our formula of Caravan park, Communal kitchen, function room etc. We just need to take the load off Michelle in the catering dept
EDIT: Just did a web search for caterers in wellington, phoned the number i found but its disconnected....gone out of business?
My sister in law does catering in Orange NSW, I'll get a ball park quote to see what cost would be involved if we wanted to go the catered way, obviously we cant do it in Wellington
but any way we can toss it up and see where it lands

Geoff...as you said....you can never cater to all ...or...judge the weather in advance.....
but...judging from the level of enjoyment I witnessed at this last and each other meet up.....it s the camaraderie and people that make the weekend such a success.
If it s not broke....don t fix it.  :)

just chucking ideas out there, some things that go through any organisers head
--- obviously everybody can,t be catered for as far as dates
--- and we can,t predict the weather on any given weekend in 6 months
----and having the destination as centre, being Bourke is boring as bug guts for a ride,
--- so having had the last 4 in the same place,  a change could be in the air,
                                          part 2
having placed it centrally for the distance side of the argument,
---to move it west again is going to be bat shit boring,
--- to move it east, the central guys might as well come for day rides and go home again
                                         part 3
one suggestion has been is to move it north and/or south  of centre and change dates to suit climate
---eg, the snowies in the off season, lots and lots of corners and scenery either springish or autumnish for the sake of the argument
--- then  near the qld border on other yr
---- or we stay put

anyway thats where we're at, something to chew on for the next while
