Yup...50ml ...is a tad too much i would of thought ....and it would of sucked it through like a vacuum cleaner thru the spigot without restriction ...try 5ml into the plug hole....cam on...of course.

How much fuel did you put in ???....
I would of thought 5 to 10 ml.....and why the hell didn t you have the camera rolling....that would of been worthy of some sort of Trophy.
Do it again with less fuel...and cam on i say.

uummmm, we weren,t going to say anything but we did that Jeff,
resulting in a small workshop fire, it spat the fuel out of the head  whilst still on fire
Ev shat, while I tried bravely to  blow it out instead of grabbing the dioxide extinguisher
 :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

to busy focusing on the fire to notice wether it ran any better or not

one thing Hen did bring up though, was will valve guides leak air with out leaking oil???

Geoff.........when looking at #4 it looks like it doesn t have as much compression as 1,2 and 3 ....(I know you ve done a comp test) .
Take #4 spark plug out and squirt a little fuel in there ...replace the plug....and see if it runs for 10-20 secs the same as the others ...just to roughly see if it then has a more even firing as to the others. Maybe set the camera on it again to review as it would only be for a few seconds.

Geez, I'll have a crack at it for that

Well I'm easy although Geoff expressed interest in the exhaust system ages ago. It's been on my '78 but I lose the centre stand and being an original system, it probably belongs on a Maxim and if there's anyone in our community likely to cross paths with one, it will surely be Geoff. He also has a pretty good idea of what needs to be done with my bike. Maybe a tag team?

when I sort this I,ll think about it

Well I'm sitting here doing nothing until the 9th of November. Spare bed, food and beer all free. It's a simple fix I'm sure, you'd knock it over in an hour, three with me helping. I'll even let you rat through my parts and you can take what you want, even the Maxim exhaust system.

You sure you don't have my bike Geoff? You're more than welcome to come down and sort mine out any time you like.

some progress has been made after Ev came over and we spent a few hours on it
we have a flame, {a blue flame} same as the other 3 pots but not the same intensity
here in the video you can plainly see the difference between the flames and look closely at the hit and miss of the flame

we were working on swapping the pipes at the time and decided to leave them off and see what we were looking at
to get it to this level we had to individually set the air fuel mix screws and 4 is way up from factory, next days off will see the carbs come off and will be checked and cleaned again {more thoroughly if thats possible}

just for shits and giggles we swapped the leads and caps from 1 with 4,, we thought with using the same coil and leads the problem might move, but alas no change, still number 4
more importantly we swapped carbs from Evs bike with these,
this is where it got interesting
Evs bike had a miss after the swap, so everybody is going see told you its carbs,, BUT with Evs carbs in my bike #4 still wouldnt fire
 right,,
so is it the carbs or something else ????????????????????????????

What about a hole in the diaphram, or broken/weak spring in the carb. Possibly an enricher valve leaking air into the carb. One slide not rising with the others would limit the carbs severe. Just some things I was thinking may effect it that are not electrical.
