Yes, not keen on that for a few reasons. Cost, the need to modify angle anyway and not sure how they will end up looking.
I'm starting to like a very minimal exhaust, think I might make my own.

Bretsky, have you looked at after market mufflers that were designed to go straight onto the original headers. I'm sure if you trolled the Bay you could find some.

Anyone listening to Bryan and Jeff, I have an oil filter I can swap for a couple of mufflers.
Edit: Ok I'm a bit slow, when did it swap to oil filter....... Oil cooler.

That seems like a great set but Id like to see what I can do with the XJR1300 4 into 2 headers and collector. I'm not sure how well the collector is working but the main issue if any seems to be the very quite and thus restricted mufflers.
My idea, almost since I first put this system on was if I can get some short free flow mufflers I will have something very similar to a X-pipe
Now with the pods and main jets up one size to 140 although Mal seemed to think it was going great I think it could be better leaned out a bit more. Seems like a great time to increase the exhaust flow and see how that all balances out.

A good start could be removing the baffles from the stock XJR1300 mufflers.

Just took the bike for a short run without the mufflers. Very noticeable improvement on power. Bloody gearbox felt worse with the extra torque.
