Hello Ashlee

Photo looks good. My limited knowledge - you will need to start looking for the larger 24L (?) fuel tank if heading off around OZ. I believe this one shown has very short range.

This is the last photo I have of my Dad's bike before she went into storage. I would be very happy if after the rebuild she looked something similar to this.

Hi Jeff, I learnt to ride bikes on an old XR250 back on my families farm. I don't have my full licence yet, but the rebuild will take some time so I still have time to get my full licence.

Wish you all the best in the rebuild and subsequent plan to ride it around Australia. What riding experience and bikes have you ridden / owned in the past ?
I m guessing you already have a full license as this bike would nt comply for a learner or probationary holder.
Would be great to hear your lifestory regarding motorcycles.

Hi everyone, I'm Ashlee from Brisbane. I inherited my dads XS1100RH and I cannot wait to see her on the road again. She hasn't been ridde. Since 2005 when Dad hurt his back. He dreamed to ride her again one day but unfortunately Dad never had the chance. My dream is to get her going again and then ride her around Australia. Look forward to everyone's hints and tips and of course Geoff's help in bringing this dream to a reality.
