So there s an interesting point....it was my understanding yamaha through their dealerships offered a similar fairing in the silver or maroon colours. Martini fairings were assembled on bikes allocated to them....within a set number of 500 and a specific consecutive serial number allocation .
So what denotes it as a UK model is whats on everyones lips....I understand there was a change of mount position on the front indicators to comply with overseas regs. Also a shroud around the headlight instead of the all clear perspex.Anything else ?
Yes true, but the standard bike looks to be the euro model with 1.1 badge and rear indicator position, whatever they are it's still a great aquisition.
Yeah I thought so because of where the rear indicators are.But I'd recon that a batch of 500 would be all the same, ie, started life as European models.
Well the magazine feature says around 70 to the uk, about the same to the US, the rest to Europe. Maby STEPTOE's is a bit special cos it came from Japan ?Read a bit about them about 5 years ago on the net but nothing was said about numbers and to where. I think he's got a real find there. Most of John Mockett's work is legendary. I'm envious! ?
