He'd a said

"For Christ's sake it's an XS1100 it doesn't need anything, ahhh am I wrong or what, you tell me"

Love the way he also had written bits of paper that were sticky taped to the bike to show how many K's for oil changes etc, even though you couldn't read them from being wet in the rain, he knew.

Hey Hen, me and Scotty made our bikes look small, due to our size, unless you throw on a swag, billy, tent, 20 litre jerry can some fishing gear and half of the camping gear you own at home, that bike is going to look HUGE.

You can be reasonably assured that Scotty would have had an appropriate pithy one liner to sum the situation up.

It's known as "An Oily Rag Restoration"  You fix it but you don't F&#k with it.That way it stays the way the great man intended.

I don't think a maintenance job should be classified as a resto.
Needs a bit of by the book TLC

Any of the motor sets you can get are full sets no matter which one
Gaskets valve seals etc.

The only gasket set that is separate is the middle gearbox
