Hey Jonesy,

Sort of may...bee.. coming out to admit that HEY it is good lookin, and that I'm not dreaming.
When I bought my bike, it was naked, so I agree about the fairing, took me a couple of years before I got mine, even then I had to go halves with Eddie in a complete bike, just to get a fairing, there really hard to come by, now I have a spare that is a bit beaten up, but still looks the goods.

Heya Jeff,
We all know which model had won the competition race, but by 81 it sort of lost it's cred, so that's why they bought out the RH, to put that winning motor into a beautiful/sexy looking bike?

Lou

Or even the rarest of rare XS1100 unicorn teeth Mike Hailwood Martini.  Now that would be the jewel in the crown of ANY collector.

I think it would make a good "cafe wannabe racer " project.
Just remind me Lou ? Which competition races did this model win again ?

Jeff, the first thing to go is the abomination known as the octy, the little baby tank and blackness will stay. Stay tuned, i will have some questions and photos for you after seeing whats under the right side cover.
Lou, your dreaming, the standard will always be the benchmark, this purchase (from tony) was out of curiosity, plus the i admit cool little fairing

Hey Ev,
What Jonesy really meant was that he has lusted over one the whole time, but took him all this time to cum out of the closet and just admit it.

Horn,
He really does mean sleeker and now that his wasted space is filled he is still in Orr and can't admit that it is a better bike than the Standard, as he has now put so many stare marks on it the 2 X Standards in the other side of the unwasted space are jealous and feel really fat ;D

Excess.11,
The only way to transform the "lesser" bike is to own one, no need for any mods whatsoever, other than Jonesy's comments about Refuel Hourly.

Hey Jonesy, as The Fonz would say Ehhh, thumbs up......................

Good one

Lou

Jonesy..the only answers you need are....how to transform that "lesser" bike into a hybrid standard...as so many before you have done. You know the drill....throw away the octy fuel lines..fit a 24ltr tank....change out the front end.....get some "macho " paint to throw over it.....

Ev, mate I cant explain it either? all of a sudden I was just buying an RH maybe so I could get "the set"

Horn, if you mean sleeker as in less, yes I agree it is still the lesser bike than the Standard   ;)

There will be RH specific questions as it gets a tidy up in a few areas.

It's been my experience that whatever size the shed is it is never big enough!
And believe me I have had some very big sheds.
At the moment, 200 sq mtrs, still not enough room! But if you look up you can fit 2 bikes in there!

the shed should be like going to the pub and having a good feed,, you,re comfortably full but there,s that little bit of room left for something else should you feel the need,
thats how mine is, 3 live there, plus 2 in parts with room for 1 more, then we might have to kick the sofa lounge out of the bottom room and make it an inside shed room
