Fred,
It's not something that I've really noticed , so it can't be too bad. I suppose what shadow might be thrown from one light would be masked by the light from the other one, plus they are the broad spread type lights, not pencil beams, which would probably help a lot. It does light up the front wheel and mudguard very well though.

Errol mate,

I'm looking to put a couple of spotties on mine as well. 8)
They'll be in about the same possie as yours but not quite as big as your Battle of Britain searchlights. :o

What i'm asking mate is; with them set so far back are there any issues with shadowing from your front end?

here's my my story of a brilliant w/end
being on the coast, a 40 min ride gets you to  hwy 1, and Eveready's place,,, and yep,, he was ready :D,,

back out to the h/way with some good clean time making riding,, no corners, but at least it was fun knowing the reason for the run, and finally having 2 XS's rolling together

we were heading for Bryans' place for the night for a BIT of a chat,,,{as he asked once there,what shall we talk about,,, XS's was my suggestion :D}

b t w,, for a motor cycle mechanic, Aussixs makes a bloody mean stew,, sincerely mate , it was very nice thankyou

Eveready slipped off to spend time with family,, so we waited for his return in the morning and headed off thru the city for the show,, I have never used a GPS before,, now I know why there are so many crashes, I have never felt so uncomfortable on a bike till using and following it from Bryans into the city,, was the first and last time,,

have never been to a bike show of that size before,, all credit to Bryan and his club, well worth the trip,,   the amount and variety of displays always had you looking at something,, let alone the amount of bikes,,,,

then go for a short walk outside to the  bike lined streets, not a spare park was seen,, and there was as much on show outside as in,

then came dyno time, nerves were abundant not expecting the old girl to perform to good,, a couple of weeks ago there were what I thought were ignition issues, all nerves were dispelled after the run as you,ve heard

2 pm came round pretty quick, and time came to leave, another 4 1/2 hr run home, having pushed our luck a bit coming down, we cruised home so the w/end wasn't spoilt,,,, all bikes and riders successfully returned home,,,

thankyou again Errol and Bryan for a great w/end,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,it was really cool to be sitting across a table having stew with 2 other fella's that had met over the net with an obvious love of these bikes as myself ,,,,,,,,,,,,

this is my 2nd meet up with different XSive guys,, and am looking forward to many more

Was a fantastic event! Congratulations to the Club Laverda Guys. Well done.
Great to finally meet you, Bryan. Pity we had to bail so early but we had a bit of a ride ahead to get home. I'm sure this will be the first of many such meet-ups we have.

Steptoe checking his baby after his dyno run. 'Twas all good. Sounded sweet!

3 amigos basking in the sun.

Another angle.

Hope you're not offended Christian. There wasn't anywhere to put them on the bike.

Overall, a great day out. Maybe even more next year??
After seeing Steptoes grin after his dyno run,I might give my old girl a run next time to see how she's fared after all those miles, eh?
