We'll make a decision on the night. Right now though the auction looks like a shot duck. If there's a bit of interest, we'll do the auction but if not.....we could offer an item as an additional prize for the trophy winners.

This looks dead in the water. I'll still bring those bits and anyone who needs/wants them can have them.

Just a reminder.

Whatever you bring to the auction you must consider as a donation.

All proceeds from the auction will go to a charity.

I mislead someone into thinking that the auction was to make a quid out of stuff lying around but not as a donation to charity.

Sorry about that.

It's a charity auction.

Dan.

Great!!! Now I'm bringing SFA. Unless the Andy Gerding Benevolent Fund is the charity of choice :)

The charity is open to opinion, but I doubt that particular fund would garner much support.

Bring a framed, signed pic of the basket case, that might raise a few cents.

Sorry I deluded you Andy. Looking forward to meeting you.

I will be bringing a set of rare RH handlebars and an assortment of carbs and carb bits.  One set is the ones I had on Basket Case so they have new diaphragms, new jets, new mixture screws, new emulsion tubes and needles and new needles and seats.  I am still debating whether or not to bring the faring, it is a bit on the large size.  If you don't have a ute or trailer it would be hard to get home so I think I'll leave it here. I'll chuck in some other random bit's and pieces I won't need once I've had a bit of a sort.  Any one need a 3X1 frame?
"Rare handle bars" off a RH?.....didn't know they had them back...lol..sorry sick ah, couldn't resist....

New driver. Same auctioneer.

All unsifted parts, all needlessly purchased parts that will never fit your bike, all parts that you stole or got for free, all parts that need a home, anything motorcycle related. Books, magazines, clothing etc. and anything pornographic. I hear pornographic stuff brings in heaps of bidders.

As far as the beneficiary is concerned, I'd plump for Doctors without Borders. My second choice would be the closest children's hospital to Dubbo.

I think it's important though to indicate what you're bringing in a reply to this to help spur interest.

2016 Rally Auction.

I haven't seen anything about the rally auction yet. I've seen a few posts about earlier auctions and a little discussion about where the money should go. My feeling is any money raised should go towards next year's rally costs but that's just my feeling. Whoever the beneficiary, I think we need to get a bit of interest going prior to the event. I'm bringing the following and if other attendees also list what they're bringing, I think we might generate a bit more interest than we saw last year.

1 set of fork seals, the 1mm smaller size, for the special.
Reserve lighting unit.
Four sets of 4th oversize (1.00mm) genuine Yamaha piston rings.
One Goodrich s/s black front M/C to junction box brake line.

I'm hoping to see others add what they intend to bring along and see a bit of spirited bidding on the night.

Dan.
