vac advance either blocked-off or connected,
makes no difference whatsoever but connect it
and you save 3 to 4 thimble-fulls of gas everytime
you fill the tank (as long as it's been all tailwind riding)

If you're talking about where your boot goes, no it doesn't,  should be a plastic cover where the wing nut mounts all to bike

you,ll find the restriction is in the carb body not the pipe, you can,t really successfully block the vacuum and have timing advance

Hi
Thanks for the reply and number 2 is right as was looking backwards. Both my bike this has been blocked off for some reason. Is there some sort of restrictor as hose is smaller than the carb outlet. Can this be left off and just set the timing so it does not advance.Any help on this would be appreciated and a photo or something would be great.
Regards Kerry

Hi
Where does the vacuum hose from the timing advance get it vacuum from.Is it from the singe vacuum port of number 3 carby. Also on the emergency kick starter that bolts to the frame under the air box on  a 2h motor have a rubber on it or not.
