Yes, agree. Just working back to that now. Guess it can't do any harm taking extra out now.

I don't think you need an extra plate - just new springs and friction plates have
always worked on mine.

Clutch extra steel plate

When rebuilding the clutch I put in an extra steel plate and springs advertised as extra heavy duty. Think it was an overkill but I just wanted to make sure I got rid of the slip.
Thinking about taking the extra plate out.
Do you think this could cause any problems?
Wonder how quick I can do a clutch strip down now?
