Hey Carl,
If those calipers are still stuck,  try pushing the caliper back in first with a large pair of multi grips
or give the caliper a wack covered by sum wood with a hammer,
this will help break the 'seal' then reattach it to the line to pump it out.

Hi all,
Do yourself a favour and check the parts numbers online on www.bikebandit.com.
I think that Epic Yamaha may still have the lists as well.

Thanks Steptoe

I have not pulled em apart yet as I have to hook up a master cylinder and short line to pop em out.
They are seriously stuck in though.  :o Don't know if they will be savable. will reserve judgment till they are apart. Don't hurt to have spares though just in case. First job is to put rebuilt forks in. rebuilt switches go on. 16in rear wheel in (from XJ 1100 US import). new oil plus filter. Re-build the carbs and put them in and then try a start. if motor is OK then we are off on to finish build, otherwise the XJ1100 motor goes in. Looks good from inspection.  ;D

g'day mate, when you pull the pistons out you may find the SQUARE o"rings in the casting may need attention to, with a bit of a clean up & a light rub with 1200 wet & dry ,pistons that I've done have come up pretty good, it was quite some time ago but I was still able to get  brand new pistons & o'rings .

as with every thing with brakes the only liquid to use is brake fluid.

I have parts from a '79 or '80 that I got as spares when I bought my bike. Nearly a complete second bike minus frame, lights and instruments. If they fit the brakes are there. Not too sure how good they are but look ok.
